This session intends to address what developers need to know to efficiently engage with clients in academia and deliver best results. It will also cover likely future demand for contract developers working in higher-ed, future directions in academic computing, and posit some principles for developing projects that satisfy not only rudimentary infrastructure requirements (e.g. a departmental website) but provide a robust framework for applying the most powerful features of Drupal in research.
